Vacancies available:

MECHANIC 

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Perform mechanical repairs on our fleet;
  • Depending on the level of experience, perform diagnostics on vehicle breakdowns, perform preventive and corrective works whilst coordinating with the supervisor on duty;
  • Proper use and care of diagnostic equipment and tools;
  • Ensure that diagnostics and repairs performed are safe, reliable and in line with company safety standards;
  • Fill out job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability;
  • Assist management to ensure workspace is kept safe and clean, including proper waste management;
  • Comply to company policies such as security, health and safety, data protection, quality assurance, etc.;
  • Follow the Team Supervisor’s instructions;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Management. 

Selected candidates will be required to work shifts between Monday and Sunday on a roster basis. 

Requirements: 

  • Three (3) years working experience in maintenance and repair of vehicles;
  • Maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles;
  • Ability to work in a team and with minimum supervision;
  • Have good problem solving and communication skills;
  • Ability to communicate in either Maltese and/or English.

STOREKEEPER

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Issue purchase orders and proposals.
  • Receiving products from suppliers and placing them on predetermined shelves after they have been recorded in the Stores Management system;
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Handling of materials to technical staff members to do repairs on any asset belonging to the company.
  • Recording of parts issued in the Stores Management system.
  • Keeping track of the warranty process for new vehicle parts, as well as the proper labelling and storage of those parts that need to be claimed.
  • Responsible for the stock, parts, common tools and equipment to be used in any function of the department.
  • Ensure effective cleaning and organization of work areas and tools at all times, including hazardous wastes management.
  • Follow company health and safety policies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or delegated by the Stores Supervisor and Stores and Procurement Manager. 

Requirements: 

  • Ideally have a secondary level of education.
  • Preferably have working experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge on mechanical parts, accessories and materials used in the Store.
  • Familiar with inventory principles and practices, proper methods of storekeeping, including receipts, inspections, storage and issuance of supplies.
  • Have good record maintenance skills using a computer and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to control receipts and issuing of parts, tools and equipment

ELECTRICIAN 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Technical duties: general maintenance and repairs on starters, alternators, light body (exterior and interior) repairs;
  • Fill in work orders and follow up requests sent to the storehouse;
  • Perform diagnostics on vehicle electrical breakdowns and incidences and preventive and corrective works;
  • Carry out general maintenance, service and repairs duties on electrics efficiently;
  • Ensure that vehicles on which s/he has made diagnostic and repairs are safe and reliable, and fulfil government standard requirements;
  • Filling out job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability;
  • Ensure effective cleaning and organization of work areas and tools at all times, including hazardous wastes management;
  • Ensure compliance to policies namely security, health and safety, data protection, quality assurance and eco-friendly established in the area of responsibility;
  • Follow the Team Supervisor instructions;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Management. 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • A post-secondary level of education;
  • Three (3) years working experience in electrical maintenance and repair of industrial vehicles with euro 6 engines;
  • Experience working on diesel engines, trucks, and buses;
  • Intermediate level in either English or Maltese (verbal & written);
  • Must be organized and able to coordinate and communicate well with others;
  • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative;
  • Have problem solving skills.

PANEL BEATER 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Follow the Panel Beater Supervisor instructions; 
  • Evaluate damages on body and structure;
  • Develop working method to achieve goals and requirements on each repair to be performed, defining what are the steps to be taken on it;
  • Repair accident damages and painting;
  • Fill out job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability;
  • Ensure effective cleaning and organization of work areas and tools at all times, including hazardous wastes management; 
  • Follow company health and safety policy;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Engineering Manager. 

The ideal candidate should have: 

  • Two years minimum of work experience in panel beating and spray painting;
  • Knowledge of industrial vehicle structures;
  • Ability to use repair and painting products;
  • Ability to communicate in English and Maltese;
  • Ability to communicate well with peers and take a leadership role in decision making;
  • Problem solving skills;

BUS DRIVERS 

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Safeguard the passengers’ safety, assist and accommodate the passengers as they board and leave the bus in accordance with our safety procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s policies for health and safety, risk prevention, data protection, quality and environmental control within the sphere of his/her duties;
  • Cooperate/coordinate with the Service Supervisor (or any other person assigned by the Company) in other tasks as deemed necessary;
  • Collect ticket fares and check that the tickets are valid;
  • Scan the passengers’ Tallinja cards and ensure passengers have the correct Tallinja pass when boarding the bus;
  • Carry out the route as per the itinerary and in the expected timeframe;
  • Communicate to the Control Room any incidence/problem that happened during the service and any data or information related to the safety and complaints of the passengers;
  • Check the technical condition of the vehicle and the equipment on board by means of daily (routine) checks, identifying in the defect sheet any possible anomalies/abnormalities;
  • Hand-over of the daily collected cash (money) together with the invalid (null) tickets and the defect sheet when finishing the duty;

 Requirements:

  • Local Driving license required: European Category B and/or D and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence);
  • Ability to communicate in English or Maltese;
  • Basic level of education;
  • Pass a medical examination and driving assessment;
  • Clean police record;
  • Required to work early morning, late evening and weekend shifts on a roster basis which is published four weeks in advance;
  • Applicants with a B license will be required to sit for a driving test conducted by local authorities in Malta.

 TEAM SUPERVISOR 

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Team Supervisor will coordinate and supervise required works to achieve established goals for the company in the workshop.  The team supervisor is expected to execute works following plans by the Workshop Manager while ensuring the company targets for reliability and safety are achieved.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assign work to the Mechanics and Electricians on duty;
  • Assist mechanics to diagnose Breakdowns and incidences;
  • Supervise the technical team performance;
  • Make sure staff complete the required work in reasonable times and ensure job cards are compiled;
  • Fill out logs, job cards and other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability of works done;
  • Assist company to maintain clean and safe work-place;
  • Ensure proper use of shared tools by workforce;
  • Ensure compliance to company policies such as security, health and safety, data protection, quality assurance and eco-friendly measures;
  • Follow the Engineering Manager’s instructions;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar role;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Ability to plan, schedule and delegate work to maintenance personnel;
  • Team leadership skills and ability to promote and organise teamwork within the workshop. 

Preference will be given to candidates having:

  • Computer knowledge;
  • Personnel management skills and ability to work efficiently;
  • Willingness and having the right attitude to learn and develop capabilities for further improvement

SALES EXECUTIVE

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities;
  • Research and analyse sales options;

  • Collect and analyse information and prepare data and sales reports;
  • Attend workshops to learn more technical and professional skills for the job;

Requirements: 

  • Proficiency with MS Excel and ideally MS Access too.
  •  Ideally possess an advanced ECDL pass.
  • Minimum of 3 years B2B sales experience, preferably in the media industry
  • An advanced level of education.
  • Good knowledge of media sales and various media selling strategies
  • Competency in English;
  • Knowledge of MS Office software particularly MS Excel;
  • Ability to negotiate and understanding of marketing skills;
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results;

LEGAL INTERN - PART TIME

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Legal team in its daily tasks;
  • Carrying out legal research as required;
  • Following the development of and analysing new laws and case law;
  • Preparing legal documentation and reviewing simple agreements;
  • Communicating with various other teams and stakeholders across the business;
  • Maintaining the filing system and ensuring it is organised;
  • Learning and developing expertise on transport, employment, commercial, competition and corporate legal matters, amongst others.

Requirements: 

  • Completed the first year of law course;
  • Basic office management knowledge;

CONTROL ROOM ASSISTANT

To ensure proper operation of planned services and promptly coordinate resolutions to arising incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily operations and attend as required to all incidents, changes and problems in the transport services.
  • Assisting with the management of service in terms of use of bus fleet and drivers.
  • Accurate reporting of issues and problems as required.
  • Ensure Quality of Service in terms of Operations of Service.

The role will involve shift work including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Be organised and able to communicate effectively
  • Have a positive energetic attitude with the ability to see solutions to occurring problems
  • Have the ability to work within a team
  • Be assertive, but not aggressive, to deal with difficult situations
  • Be diplomatic and able to make good judgements in stressful situations
  • Be proficient (verbal & written) in at least Maltese & English
  • Be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
  • Have at least MQF Level 1 standard of education (school leaving certificate)
  • Be Computer Literate 

Previous work experience in transport operations would be considered an asset.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Manage requests related to MPT Infrastructure for engineering and all other areas, all using OTRS Ticket Request System and follow up to perform the requests on time.
  • Generate queries and data visualization and updating on the OTRS system.
  • Create and receive Purchase Orders on Maximo for engineering infrastructure requirements and manual POs for other departments.
  • Waste Control: monitoring, reporting, quotations, dealing with suppliers, create and receive Purchase Orders for all waste control requirements of the group, check Invoices, ERA documentation, KPIs.
  • Manage and coordinate the pest control in all premises and bus fleet dealing with supplier and other departments, as well as check and control invoices related.
  • Support the H&S department in all the requirements of ISO related to Engineering department (keep records, documentation, regular interim inspections, and any other duties as requested related to the ongoing upkeep and audit preparation of ISO).
  • Issue daily, weekly and monthly reports (including daily VOR Report, Weekly VOR, Weekly Cleaning buses KPIs).
  • Perform any other day to day administrative duties as required from time to time;
  • Carry out duties assigned by the Administration & Cost Manager 

Requirements: 

  • Preferably a minimum or ordinary level standard of education;
  • Experience in a similar role would be considered as an asset;
  • Experience working with MS application; MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and Outlook;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English or Maltese. 
  • Excellent administrative skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to work with timeframes;
