MECHANIC 

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Perform mechanical repairs on our fleet;
  • Depending on the level of experience, perform diagnostics on vehicle breakdowns, perform preventive and corrective works whilst coordinating with the supervisor on duty;
  • Proper use and care of diagnostic equipment and tools;
  • Ensure that diagnostics and repairs performed are safe, reliable and in line with company safety standards;
  • Fill out job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability;
  • Assist management to ensure workspace is kept safe and clean, including proper waste management;
  • Comply to company policies such as security, health and safety, data protection, quality assurance, etc.;
  • Follow the Team Supervisor’s instructions;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Management. 

Selected candidates will be required to work shifts between Monday and Sunday on a roster basis. 

Requirements: 

  • Three (3) years working experience in maintenance and repair of vehicles;
  • Maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles;
  • Ability to work in a team and with minimum supervision;
  • Have good problem solving and communication skills;
  • Ability to communicate in either Maltese and/or English.

CUSTOMER CARE AGENT

The company is seeking to recruit candidates with strong communication skills, to join our customer care team. As a customer care agent, you will be responsible for providing excellent and professional customer support service to all our customers.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer’s e-mails.
  • Communicating with customers through various channels.
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs, resolve issues, and provide solutions.
  • Resolving complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Build customer loyalty and maintain professional customer relations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved and provide professional customer support.
  • Advice on company services and provide information as requested.
  • Generate customer interest in the services offered by the company.
  • Work towards meeting the team’s and the company’s targets.
  • Follow up on customer calls where necessary.
  • Any other ad hoc customer care-related work. 

Required specifications and experience for the post: 

  • Ordinary level standard of education in Mathematics, Maltese, English, and ECDL.
  • Preferably have experience working in a call center.
  • Strong communication and listening skills with good command over the English and Maltese languages.
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft applications, namely MS Excel and MS word.
  • Customer-oriented, positive attitude with professionalism.
  • Willing to learning and have a friendly attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised at times.
  • Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to think outside the box and go the extra mile for the customer.

ELECTRICIAN 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Technical duties: general maintenance and repairs on starters, alternators, light body (exterior and interior) repairs;
  • Fill in work orders and follow up requests sent to the storehouse;
  • Perform diagnostics on vehicle electrical breakdowns and incidences and preventive and corrective works;
  • Carry out general maintenance, service and repairs duties on electrics efficiently;
  • Ensure that vehicles on which s/he has made diagnostic and repairs are safe and reliable, and fulfil government standard requirements;
  • Filling out job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability;
  • Ensure effective cleaning and organization of work areas and tools at all times, including hazardous wastes management;
  • Ensure compliance to policies namely security, health and safety, data protection, quality assurance and eco-friendly established in the area of responsibility;
  • Follow the Team Supervisor instructions;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Management. 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • A post-secondary level of education;
  • Three (3) years working experience in electrical maintenance and repair of industrial vehicles with euro 6 engines;
  • Experience working on diesel engines, trucks, and buses;
  • Intermediate level in either English or Maltese (verbal & written);
  • Must be organized and able to coordinate and communicate well with others;
  • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative;
  • Have problem solving skills.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join and strengthen our engineering team. Working closely with engineering management, your role will be to increase fleet reliability and safety by implementing the best engineering practices, in the most cost-effective manner and in line with company goals and quality standards.

Core responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Give technical support and advice to management and workshop personnel on fleet management related matters in order to sustain a continuous improvement program and quality control.
  • Identification of technical and operational solutions and assist in reaching the engineering department’s targets.
  • Prepare technical reports to assist management in taking the required informed decisions.
  • Assist technical department to plan and execute campaigns.
  • Work closely with workshop manager to finetune the fleet inspection plan to increase fleet reliability.
  • Receiving training from manufacturers, relay the information and lead personnel technical development.
  • Participate actively in projects and lead own projects. 

Other responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • To be involved in the annual budget and forecast for the workshop and follow the approved costings.
  • Planning of human and material resources that are required to sustain the workshop operation.
  • Support engineering department infrastructure whenever technical guidelines and support is required.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies related to security, data protection, health and safety, quality assurance and environmental protection.
  • Any action related to the job mission may be delegated by management. 

Requirements:

  • Warranted Electrical Engineering with 3 years working experience;
  • Good organization skills and adaptability;
  • Good diagnostics, problem detection and problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance;
  • Ability to work in a team and to promote teamwork;
  • Ability to provide guidance to colleagues on technical matters;
  • Analytical skills. 

Preference will be given to candidates having:

  • Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, preferably heavy vehicles;
  • 2 years (or more) working experience in a managerial position;
  • Good Leadership and management skills;

PANEL BEATER 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Follow the Panel Beater Supervisor instructions; 
  • Evaluate damages on body and structure;
  • Develop working method to achieve goals and requirements on each repair to be performed, defining what are the steps to be taken on it;
  • Repair accident damages and painting;
  • Fill out job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability;
  • Ensure effective cleaning and organization of work areas and tools at all times, including hazardous wastes management; 
  • Follow company health and safety policy;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Engineering Manager. 

The ideal candidate should have: 

  • Two years minimum of work experience in panel beating and spray painting;
  • Knowledge of industrial vehicle structures;
  • Ability to use repair and painting products;
  • Ability to communicate in English and Maltese;
  • Ability to communicate well with peers and take a leadership role in decision making;
  • Problem solving skills;

BUS DRIVERS 

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Safeguard the passengers’ safety, assist and accommodate the passengers as they board and leave the bus in accordance with our safety procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s policies for health and safety, risk prevention, data protection, quality and environmental control within the sphere of his/her duties;
  • Cooperate/coordinate with the Service Supervisor (or any other person assigned by the Company) in other tasks as deemed necessary;
  • Collect ticket fares and check that the tickets are valid;
  • Scan the passengers’ Tallinja cards and ensure passengers have the correct Tallinja pass when boarding the bus;
  • Carry out the route as per the itinerary and in the expected timeframe;
  • Communicate to the Control Room any incidence/problem that happened during the service and any data or information related to the safety and complaints of the passengers;
  • Check the technical condition of the vehicle and the equipment on board by means of daily (routine) checks, identifying in the defect sheet any possible anomalies/abnormalities;
  • Hand-over of the daily collected cash (money) together with the invalid (null) tickets and the defect sheet when finishing the duty;

 Requirements:

  • Local Driving license required: European Category B and/or D and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence);
  • Ability to communicate in English or Maltese;
  • Basic level of education;
  • Pass a medical examination and driving assessment;
  • Clean police record;
  • Required to work early morning, late evening and weekend shifts on a roster basis which is published four weeks in advance;
  • Applicants with a B license will be required to sit for a driving test conducted by local authorities in Malta.

SALES AGENT

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Be knowledgeable of  Malta Public Transport fares;
  • Sell all available fares and credit top ups from MPT’s various sales outlets;
  • Handle cash, applications, top ups and close out sales at the end of each working shift according to current reconciliation Sales Policy;
  • Maintain self-organization on stocks and any other materials required to perform duties effectively;
  • Answer customers’ questions and increase customer satisfaction;
  • Effectively communicate our policies to customers and ensure this knowledge is current and accurate according to the Company’s revisions and updates;
  • Project a safe and welcoming attitude towards customers. 

Requirements: 

  • Be proficient verbally and written in both, English and Maltese;
  • Preferably a year of experience in sales or a similar position in the service industry;
  • Ability to work alone and remain self-motived to meet targets;
  • Team player and flexible to adapt to changes;
  • Positive and energetic attitude;

 TEAM SUPERVISOR 

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Team Supervisor will coordinate and supervise required works to achieve established goals for the company in the workshop.  The team supervisor is expected to execute works following plans by the Workshop Manager while ensuring the company targets for reliability and safety are achieved.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assign work to the Mechanics and Electricians on duty;
  • Assist mechanics to diagnose Breakdowns and incidences;
  • Supervise the technical team performance;
  • Make sure staff complete the required work in reasonable times and ensure job cards are compiled;
  • Fill out logs, job cards and other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability of works done;
  • Assist company to maintain clean and safe work-place;
  • Ensure proper use of shared tools by workforce;
  • Ensure compliance to company policies such as security, health and safety, data protection, quality assurance and eco-friendly measures;
  • Follow the Engineering Manager’s instructions;
  • Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar role;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Ability to plan, schedule and delegate work to maintenance personnel;
  • Team leadership skills and ability to promote and organise teamwork within the workshop. 

Preference will be given to candidates having:

  • Computer knowledge;
  • Personnel management skills and ability to work efficiently;
  • Willingness and having the right attitude to learn and develop capabilities for further improvement

HR COORDINATOR

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Maintaining and updating electronic employee records using internal HR systems and external systems.
  • Acting as a point of contract to employees for daily HR related queries.
  • Handling the administration of new work permits applications and assisting current employees to renew their residence cards.
  • Handling the administration of the HR’s main mailbox, sick reporting, medicals, injuries, engagements, and terminations.
  • Handle follow up calls: issue reports, conduct calls, and issue a final report based on the data collected from the employees.
  • Assist with recruitment including sifting of CVs, attending interviews, assisting with evaluation of interviews, and providing feedback to candidates.
  • Attend at the company’s depots to assist with any HR tasks as required.
  • Assist the HR recruitment and administration teams with any ad hoc projects or tasks as required.
  • Handle any other task or project assigned by the management. 

Requirements: 

  • Preferably have an advanced level of education and/or have obtain a certificate in HR.
  • Ideally have one year experience working in a similar role, preferably in HR.
  • Experience using MS applications including MS Excel, MS Work and outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English, Maltese and preferably Italian and/or Spanish.
  • Ability to maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Passionate about Human Resources and enjoys working with people.
