Bus service frequency to increase during summer

Malta Public Transport announces that Summer Services commence on 11 June 2017, with more frequent buses on busy routes and an extended bus service to popular beaches. Tallinja card holders will continue to enjoy the same reduced fares throughout the year, while tickets purchased on the bus are at €2 during summer.

 

The frequency of buses will be increasing, with 300 more trips per day, on the following routes:

 

Route 41: Valletta – Cirkewwa

Route 42: Valletta – Cirkewwa

Route 212: Sliema – Buġibba

Route 221: Ċirkewwa - Buġibba

Route 222: Sliema – Ċirkewwa

Route 223: Buġibba – Għajn Tuffieħa

Route 225: Sliema – Għajn Tuffieħa

Route 31: Valletta – Buġibba

Route 310: Victoria – Marsalforn

Route 311: Victoria – Dwejra

Route 322: Marsalforn – Mġarr Ferry

 

During summer, the bus service is being extended to these popular beaches: Armier (Route 49), Blue Grotto (Route 74), Ġnejna Bay (Route 101) and Għar Lapsi (Route 109). All these routes operate from Monday to Sunday during Summer.
