Route Diversions in St Julian’s for St Patrick’s Day

Malta Public Transport would like to inform passengers that due to road closures in the St Julian’s area for St Patrick’s Day celebrations, a number of routes will be diverted on Monday, 17 March 2025, from 13:00 onwards.

Passengers are advised to check the details below as some bus stops will not be served during this time.

Affected Routes and Diversions:

• Route TD3: Buses will divert from Sliema Ferries via Triq Manwel Dimech and Triq Rudolfu towards Savoy, continuing through Mrabat to San Ġwann. The normal route will resume from San Ġiljan (Paceville).
  • Bus stops not in service: Chalet (916), Torri (919), Balluta (922), Spinola (925).
• Routes 13, 13A, 16, 202, 212, 222, 225, 233, N13: Buses will divert from Pender Gardens roundabout, turning back towards the traffic lights and proceeding onto Regional Road via the tunnels. After exiting the tunnels, they will turn left onto Triq Reggie Miller towards Savoy, continuing onto Triq Rudolfu and Sir Adrian Dingli Street before rejoining the normal route at Tower Road towards Sliema Ferries. In the opposite direction, buses will divert from Sliema Ferries via Triq Manwel Dimech and Triq Rudolfu towards Savoy, then continue through Mrabat to San Ġwann. The normal route will resume from San Ġiljan (Paceville), which will be served in both directions.
  • Bus stops not in service: Sliema (6144), Chalet (916), Ghadir (918), Torri (919), Exiles (920/1044), Antik (921/1042), Balluta (922/1041), Olivier (924/1040), Spinola (925/1039), Ross (926/1038).
• Route 14: Diversion from Sliema to Pembroke via Triq M. Dimech and Reggie Miller Road to Regional Road, bypassing St George’s Bay.
  • Bus stops not in service: Ferries 5 (2575), Chalet (916), Ghadir (918), Torri (919), Exiles (920/1044), Antik (921/1042), Balluta (922/1041), Olivier (924/1040), Spinola (925/1039), Ross (926/1038), Ruzar (3808), Portanier (2031), Profs (2032), Ganado (2033), Paceville (2034), Dragonara (2035), Qaliet (2037).
• Route 110: Buses from San Ġwann to St Julian’s will be diverted via the tunnels and Regional Road to Pender Gardens before resuming the normal route.
  • Bus stops not in service: Ross (1038/926), Spinola (1039/925), Olivier (1040/924), Balluta (1041/922), Antik (1042/921), Exiles (1044/920), Mayr (1160), Miller (6402), Reggie (6322), Leyland (2090), Rudolfu (1165), Savoy (1166), Dimech (1168), Huber (1169), Howard (1171).
• Routes 121 & TD13: Buses from Kappara to Pembroke will bypass Spinola and proceed via Regional Road.
  • Bus stops not in service: Borg (2085), Spinola (0925/1039), Ross (0926/1038).
• Route TD2: Buses heading to the airport will bypass St George’s Bay and divert directly to Pender Gardens before continuing via Regional Road.
  • Bus stops not in service: Profs (2032), Paceville (2034), Dragonara (2035), Spinola (1039).
• Route X2: Buses from Paceville to Sliema will divert via Pender Gardens, Regional Road, and Sir Adrian Dingli Street before rejoining the normal route.
  • Bus stops not in service: Ross (1038), Spinola (1039), Olivier (1040), Balluta (1041), Antik (1042).
• Route 120:
  • Towards Mater Dei: Buses will divert via Triq San Andrija and Regional Road, bypassing St George’s Bay.
  • Towards Pembroke: Buses will divert from San Ġwann via Regional Road, rejoining the normal route at San Ġiljan.
  • Bus stops not in service: Borg (2085), Ross (926/1038), Ruzar (3808), Portanier (2031), Profs (2032), Ganado (2033), Paceville (2034), Dragonara (2035), Qaliet (2037), Spinola (1039), Għomor (2038).

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel. Normal services will resume once the roads reopen.
