Public Transport Service during the Christmas period

21/12/2017

Malta Public Transport will be operating on a special schedule during the Christmas period.

From 26 December to 30 December 2017, buses will operate on a Saturday time schedule from Monday to Friday while they will operate as usual on Saturday. The service on routes that normally operate only during the weekdays, namely 49, 50 and 90, will still be provided during this week. Route TD2 (Airport to St. Julian’s) will operate as normal and route TD13 will operate every 60 minutes from 26th to 29th December.

Furthermore, as in previous years, the public transport service will operate a reduced service on Christmas day and New Year’s day. Buses will stop operating at lunch time and the service will be suspended between noon and 15:00, with the last buses departing between 10:00 and 11:30, depending on the length of the trip. Services will resume normal operation between 15:00 and 16:00. Last evening services will terminate at 21:00.

Malta Public Transport also advises customers that its Sales Offices and its Contact Centre will be closed on Christmas day and New Year’s day.
