Malta Public Transport Offers Special Services for Notte Bianca 2024

Malta Public Transport will be operating special bus services for the Notte Bianca event on Saturday, 5th October 2024. This year, the service has been restructured for those attending the event in Valletta.

In addition to the regular Night Services (N13, N48, N62, N82, and N91), the following special routes will be available:

  • S10: This route will connect Paola to Kalkara, passing through Isla and Bormla. It will operate from 23:00 hrs until 01:30 hrs.
  • S12: Passing through Msida towards Buġibba, this service will pass through San Ġiljan, Pembroke, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, and Qawra, with departures between 23:00 hrs and 01:30 hrs.
  • S13: This route will run through Gżira, Msida, San Ġiljan and Tas-Sliema with services running every ten minutes from 23:05 hrs to 02:00 hrs.
  • S20: Travelling to Għargħur via Tal-Qroqq and San Ġwann, this route will operate every 20 minutes between 23:05 hrs and 01:35 hrs.
  • S40: This service will link Birkirkara, Ħal Lija, Ħal Balzan, Mosta (Independence Avenue), and Mġarr. It will operate every 20 minutes from 23:05 hrs to 01:35 hrs.
  • S41: Running along the Coast Road, this route will serve San Pawl il-Baħar, Mellieħa, and Ċirkewwa. It will operate from 23:00 hrs to 01:30 hrs.
  • S42: This route will run every 30 minutes from 23:15 hrs to 01:15 hrs, passing through Birkirkara Valley Road towards Mosta (Tarġa and Żokrija).
  • S47: This service, operating from 23:10 hrs to 01:30 hrs, will pass through Birkirkara, Lija, Iklin, Naxxar, and Mosta (Sta Margerita).
  • S51: This route will pass through Fleur de Lys to Mtarfa, with stops in Rabat. The service will run every 30 minutes from 23:00 hrs to 01:30 hrs.
  • S52: Operating every hour from 23:20 hrs to 01:20 hrs, this service will head towards Dingli, passing through Fleur de Lys and Rabat.
  • S61: This service will pass through Ħamrun and Qormi, heading towards Żebbuġ (Sciortino). It will operate every 30 minutes from 23:15 hrs to 01:35 hrs.
  • S62: Running hourly from 23:05 hrs to 01:05 hrs, this route passes through Ħamrun towards Siġġiewi.
  • S71: Direction towards Luqa centre, Żurrieq via Ħal Kirkop and Ħal Safi, this route will provide services every 30 minutes from 23:00 hrs to 01:10 hrs.
  • S72: Running through Qormi road passing next to Luqa Lidl before continuing towards Qrendi via Ħal Kirkop and Mqabba, this service will operate every 30 minutes from 23:15 hrs to 01:15 hrs.
  • S80: This route will head towards Santa Luċija to Birżebbuġa, with stops in Gudja, and Ħal Għaxaq. Services will operate every 30 minutes from 23:00 hrs to 01:15 hrs.
  • S85: Travelling towards Tarxien and Marsaxlokk, this route will pass through Bulebel, Żejtun, and Bir id-Deheb, offering services every 30 minutes from 23:15 hrs to 01:15 hrs.
  • S90: This service will heads towards Paola and Marsaskala, passing through Fgura. It will run from 23:05 hrs to 01:30 hrs.
  • S94: Travelling towards Paola and Xgħajra, this service will stop in Fgura and Żabbar, and will be operated every 30 minutes from 23:10 hrs to 01:15 hrs.

These special services are part of the ongoing free public transport initiative, which aims to encourage more people to travel by bus. Personalised Tallinja Card holders can travel free of charge. For passengers without a valid Tallinja Card, tickets can be purchased for €3 from the on-board ticket machine.
