Malta Public Transport Announces Special Service for Summer Daze 2023

Malta Public Transport is organising special transportation services to support festival-goers heading towards the highly anticipated Summer Daze Festival 2023.

This year's Summer Daze Festival promises an unforgettable experience with top-tier artists, thrilling performances, and an electric atmosphere. Malta Public Transport is offering a range of dedicated routes and departure times.

  1. Valletta to Ta’ Qali Route:
    • Departures every 60 minutes from Valletta Bay C2.
    • Operating between 17:00hrs and 20:00hrs.
    • Total of 4 trips scheduled.
  1. Ta’ Qali to Bugibba Route:
    • Departures from Ta' Qali at 01:00hrs, 01:15hrs, 01:30hrs, 01:50hrs, 02:10hrs, and 02:30hrs.
    • Total of 6 trips scheduled.
  1. Ta’ Qali to St. Julian’s (via Spinola) Route:
    • Departures from Ta' Qali at 01:00hrs, 01:10hrs, 01:20hrs, 01:30hrs, 01:50hrs, 02:10hrs, and 02:30hrs.
    • Total of 6 trips scheduled.
  1. Ta’ Qali to Birzebbugia Route:
    • Departures from Ta' Qali at 01:00hrs, 01:30hrs, 02:00hrs, and 02:30hrs.
    • Total of 4 trips scheduled.

These specially designed routes and departure times are aimed at offering festival-goers flexible travel options that align with the festival's schedule. The Special Services are part of the free public transport initiative, launched in October 2022 to encourage more people to travel by bus. All personalised Tallinja Card holders can therefore travel free of charge, while cash tickets at €3 per passenger will also be available for any passengers who do not have a valid Tallinja Card.
