Malta Public Transport is announcing dedicated post-event special bus services for attendees of the Joseph Calleja Christmas Special concert happening at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC) in Ta' Qali on 25th November 2023.
Following the conclusion of the concert, Malta Public Transport will operate Special Services departing from the open gym side in Ta’ Qali. These routes are designed to cater to various destinations across Malta.
Departing at 23:45hrs, the North Route will start from Ta’ Qali, stopping at Rabat, Mosta, Naxxar, St. Paul’s Bay, Bugibba, and Qawra.
For those heading towards the central localities, services will begin at Ta’ Qali, making stops in Hal Lija, Birkirkara Bypass, San Gwann, St. Julian’s, Tas-Sliema, and Valletta. Departure times for this route are scheduled at 23:45hrs and 23:55hrs.
The Southeast Route will start at Ta’ Qali and stop at H’Attard, Hal Balzan, B’Kara, Hamrun, Paola, Cottonera, Zabbar, Fgura, Tarxien, Zejtun, and BirzebbuÄĦa, with a departure time of 23:45hrs.
The Southwest Route will depart from Ta’ Qali at 23:45hrs and travel towards Haz-Zebbug, Hal Qormi, Marsa P&R, Hal Luqa, Hal Kirkop, Hal Safi, Zurrieq, Mqabba, and Qrendi.
For passengers using the bus service to attend the concert, kindly note the last trips for specific routes:
- Route 56 from Valletta concludes at 18:15hrs.
- Route 202 from Tas-Sliema, passing through St. Julian’s, will operate hourly departing from Ferries at half-past the hour.
- Route 186 from Bugibba via Qawra is available every half hour.
The Special Services are part of the free public transport initiative which is aimed at encouraging the use of public transport. Those passengers who do not have a valid Tallinja Card can avail themselves of the bus service against a fee of €3.
