More savings for Students who choose to travel by bus

30/09/2016

In order to encourage more students to choose the bus for a cleaner environment, Malta Public Transport is offering a special Student pass of 3 months travel for €55.

This offer, which is valid for Tallinja Student Card holders only, grants students a 3-month travel pass on routes operated by Malta Public Transport. While students already benefit from a monthly capping of €21 on their tallinja card, this offer gives students even more savings when they top up for three months in advance.

“We believe that today’s students are more aware about the environment and we would like to help them make a difference by choosing to travel by bus,” maintained Daniel Grech, Commercial Director at Malta Public Transport. “We appreciate the student’s contribution to society and we understand that many are on a limited budget. So while we are supporting students by offering preferential travel rates we are also encouraging them to choose a greener way to travel and reduce traffic congestion on our roads.”

Malta Public Transport operates a number of routes from various localities all over Malta, making it easier for students to plan their journey to University, Junior College and MCAST and back to their locality. During peak hours there will be 32 buses per hour covering 25 routes to University, 61 buses per hour covering 30 routes to Junior College and 43 buses per hour covering 21 routes to MCAST in Paola.
