Malta Public Transport to provide Special Services for Festa Frawli and San Girgor Feast

Malta Public Transport is announcing that it will be operating special services for the highly anticipated Festa Frawli event in Mġarr and the popular San Girgor Feast in Marsaxlokk.

In light of the Festa Frawli event on the 16th of April 2023, Malta Public Transport will be operating extra services from Valletta to Mġarr via its X44 Route. The special service will depart from Valletta to Mġarr every 15 minutes, starting from 10:00hrs until the last one departing to Mġarr at 15:00hrs. The return trip will start operating from Mġarr to Valletta every 30 minutes, starting from 11:00hrs until 18:00hrs.

Additionally, a shuttle service will be available from Ta’ Qali to Mġarr and back, with a shuttle leaving every 30 minutes. The shuttle from Ta’ Qali to Mġarr will operate between 10:00hrs and 15:00hrs, while the shuttle from Mġarr to Ta’ Qali will operate between 11:00hrs to 18:00hrs. Ta’ Qali and Triq Infetti will be used as designated Park & Ride areas in order to facilitate parking for attendees and provide them with transportation to the event.

Furthermore, in anticipation of San Girgor Feast on the 12th of April, Malta Public Transport will be providing an additional service under route number TD10 from Valletta to Marsaxlokk and back. The route will operate a trip every 20 minutes from Valletta to Marsaxlokk in the morning between 09:20hrs and 11:40hrs. This will be followed by a return bus to Valletta every hour during the afternoon between 13:40hrs and 16:20hrs.

Malta Public Transport encourages attendees to make use of its special services and Park & Ride facilities in order to avoid traffic congestion and parking difficulties.
