Malta Public Transport to provide additional services for 1st May public holiday

Malta Public Transport is announcing additional services on May 1st, 2023, in addition to the regular schedule for public holidays to cater for additional demand.

On May 1st, 2023, besides the regular schedule which timetables can be found here, Malta Public Transport will operate the additional services on several routes as follows:

• Route 1 - Isla will operate five additional trips at 11:50hrs, 12:50hrs, 13:50hrs, 14:50hrs and 15:50hrs with the trips from Valletta A2 leaving at 12:25hrs till 17:25hrs every hour.
• Route 31 – Bugibba will operate six additional trips starting at 11:25hrs till 16:25hrs departing every hour. Conversely the trip back from Valletta B5 will start at 12:25hrs with buses leaving the bay every hour till 17:25hrs.
• Route 46 leaving Valletta B8 will depart at 11:15hrs till 17:15hrs and operate a service every hour. Conversely bus trips to Gharghur will be at 11:45hrs till 17:45hrs leaving every hour.
• Route 48 – Bugibba will start from 11:30hrs and operate every hour till 16:30hrs. Return trips will run every hour from Valletta B5 from 12:35hrs till 17:35hrs.
• Route 49 – Ghadira will start from 12:15hrs till 16:15hrs operating every hour, with return trips from Valletta B6 starting from 11:05hrs till 17:05hrs.
• Route 51 – Mtarfa will run from 11:15hrs and depart every hour till 16:15hrs. Return trips from Valletta C2 will run from 12:15hrs till 17:15hrs every hour.
• Route 61 will depart from Valletta C4 from 11:45hrs every 30minutes till 17:15hrs. Conversely trips from bus stop Kandlora Zebbug will depart every 30minutes starting from 11:35hrs till 17:35hrs.
• Route 62 will depart from Valletta C5 from 11:50hrs every hour till 16:50hrs with return trips towards Siggeiwi starting from 11:28hrs till 17:28hrs departing every hour.
• Route 71 from Zurrieq will depart at 11:40hrs every hour till 16:40hrs. From Valletta A4 the bus will depart at 13:00hrs every hour on the hour till 17:00hrs.
• Route 82 towards Birzebbuga will depart at 11:15hrs till 16:16hrs with departures every hour. The return trip from Valletta A7 will depart from 12:10hrs and operate every hour till 17:10hrs.
• Route 84 – Zejtun will run from 11:25hrs every hour till 15:25hrs, while the return trip from Valletta A8 will commence from 12:40hrs and run every hour till 16:40hrs.
• Route 91 – Marsaskla will depart at 11:00hrs and run till 16:00hrs with a bus departing every hour on the hour. From Valletta A11 the bus will depart at 12:05hrs and will be operated every hour till 17:05hrs.

Malta Public Transport is encouraging everyone to make use of its services and Park & Ride facilities to avoid traffic congestion and parking difficulties.
