Our Dedication to Safe and Comfortable Journeys
We are committed to making each journey as safe and comfortable as possible. Here is how we prioritise your safety:
Our Drivers and Safety Technology
Our fully certified drivers and state-of-the-art technology contribute to a reliable and safe experience for every passenger.
Malta Public Transport employs over 1,000 professional drivers, each certified with the internationally recognised Certificate of Professional Competence. Before each shift, our drivers complete thorough checks on their buses to ensure safety and reliability on over 6,000 trips conducted daily across Malta.
Our buses are fitted with sophisticated safety features, including speed limiters and ABS, providing enhanced stability and control. Hands-free communication systems allow our drivers to remain connected with the central control room, and real-time monitoring systems oversee bus operations, ensuring passenger and driver safety.
Every five weeks, our specialised maintenance team performs in-depth inspections and maintenance on all buses, recording each activity meticulously to meet strict safety standards. Malta Public Transport is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified, further reinforcing our commitment to safety and quality.
All buses are equipped with clearly marked first aid kits and CCTV systems, providing an additional layer of security for passengers and drivers alike.
At Malta Public Transport, we uphold the highest standards of safety to deliver a safe, secure, and dependable travel experience.
