Luggage Guidelines

Guidelines for Bringing Luggage on board our Buses
For the safety and comfort of everyone on board, Malta Public Transport has established clear guidelines for carrying luggage and personal items.
These guidelines ensure that aisles and emergency exits remain unobstructed, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all passengers. Key points to consider include:
Ensuring a Safe and Convenient Experience with Your Luggage
For everyone’s safety and convenience, Malta Public Transport welcomes small luggage items on board as long as they do not block aisles or emergency exits. However, if large or bulky items restrict passenger movement or create safety risks, drivers may limit or refuse them.
When carrying liquids, paints, or similar items, please ensure they’re securely sealed and stored in suitable bags to avoid spills. Additionally, for safety, we may refuse items that pose risks, such as unsealed batteries, petrol, or other hazardous materials. On the other hand, passengers who require portable oxygen units for medical reasons may bring one cylinder per bus, provided they handle and store it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Since space may be limited, especially during busy periods, we recommend travelling light whenever possible. Please remember that Malta Public Transport cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings during your journey.
