With the new scholastic year just around the corner, Malta Public Transport is encouraging students to embrace a greener and more efficient way to get to school: travelling by bus. Convenient, sustainable and free, bus travel not only ensures a stress-free commute but also helps reduce morning traffic and protects the environment.
Students can register for their personalised Tallinja Card for free between the 29th September and 31st October 2025 by visiting https://www.publictransport.com.mt/personalised-tallinja-card/register-now/. Students may also get assistance in registering for this scheme from the Servizz Pubbliku stand at Freshers’ Week.
With their free tallinja card, students can travel free of charge on all day and night services, making it easier to save on commuting costs while fostering a culture of sustainable travel from an early age.
Malta Public Transport’s routes offer various connections to University, MCAST, Junior College and other sixth form schools across the island.
