Using tallinja Bike
With tallinja Bike, you can conveniently borrow an electric bike from one docking station and return it to another, allowing you to explore the cities or commute to work easily. In addition, it provides a flexible, eco-friendly way to get around.
Using tallinja Bike is easy and involves a four-step process:
Set up an account on the digital screen at any bike station. Credit card details are required to cover service charges. A reimbursable charge of €1 will be applied to verify the card.
After registering or logging in, select the number of bikes you wish to rent. The screen will display the available bikes ready for use.
Once you have undocked your tallinja Bike, you can ride it throughout Valletta and the nearby areas. However, to avoid additional charges, be sure to return the bike to a docking station whenever you are not using it.
Return the bike to any docking station once you’ve finished your trip. If you do not dock the bike, charges will continue to apply. Each rental has a 24-hour limit, and penalty fees will be charged if the bike is not returned within this time.
Fares
Payment for tallinja Bike is made on the digital screen at the bike station. Follow the touchscreen instructions to log into your account or sign up for a new one. Discounts are available for tallinja cardholders.

Discover our locations where you can use our bike-sharing system, offering an eco-friendly and convenient way to travel. The docking stations are strategically located near popular landmarks, bus terminals, ferry terminals, and other key spots.
Malta
Valletta Terminal
The Valletta Terminal station is located just outside Valletta’s entrance, to the left of the Triton Fountain. If arriving by ferry from Sliema, it may not be your first stop, but it’s a great spot to dock your tallinja Bike when leaving Valletta.
Barrakka Lift
Another station is near the Barrakka Lift, which leads to the Upper Barrakka Gardens. At the lift’s base, head to the Valletta Waterfront for several restaurants and cafés. If this is your final stop in Valletta before crossing to the south, you can dock your bike at this station and catch the Birgu Ferry.
Waterfront
For stunning Grand Harbour views, visit Valletta Waterfront, where you can discover a mix of retail, dining, and leisure experiences. Afterwards, take a bike from Valletta Waterfront back to Valletta Terminal to continue enjoying Valletta.
St. Julian’s
St. Julian’s is a coastal town in Malta, famous for its beaches such as Balluta Bay, nightlife, restaurants, and attractions. The Ross Bus Stop is located in the heart of St. Julian’s. With tallinja Bike, you can easily explore St. Julian’s and its surroundings.
Pembroke
Pembroke Park and Ride is a convenient location to park your car and travel to other destinations. Using a tallinja Bike helps you avoid traffic and eliminates the hassle of finding parking.
University of Malta
If you need to travel around the University of Malta, use the tallinja Bike. The University of Malta station is located next to the University Quadrangle.
Bombi
This is one of Malta’s most popular bus interchanges and a convenient starting point for your journey. With tallinja Bike, you can easily explore nearby attractions.

Mġarr
The first tallinja Bike station in Gozo is situated in Mġarr just outside the Gozo Channel Ferry.
Victoria
The second tallinja Bike station in Gozo is situated in Victoria, right next to the bus terminal.
Marsalforn
The third tallinja Bike station in Gozo is situated in Marsalforn.
