3 Easy Steps
Purchasing your Travel Card
- Step 1: Open the tallinja app and go to the Home page
- Step 2: Tap on wallet, select ‘My Tickets’ and choose your preferred bus card: 4-Day or 7-Day
- Step 3: Choose the number of adults and children travelling. A maximum of 6 passengers can be selected per purchase
- Step 4: Choose any available add-ons you would like to include with your card
- Step 5: Choose whether you would like to complete your purchase as a guest or as a registered user
- Step 6: Once your purchase has been completed, you will receive a confirmation email with the relevant information. It is important to redeem your travel card at any of our card dispensing machines. Machines are located in the Baggage Reclaim Area and the Welcomers’ Hall at the Airport, on the main bus stop outside the Airport Terminal and in key locations in Malta and Gozo. Passengers are required to have a valid travel card or ticket throughout their journey. If you are unable to present a valid travel card or ticket during a ticket inspection, you may be subject to a penalty
- Step 7: If you were logged in to your tallinja app account when making the purchase, you can access your order through the tickets section of the app. From there, you can also view your order, cancel your purchase, or add additional add-ons, where applicable
Collecting your Card
- Step 1: Visit one of our card dispensing machines, available at the Baggage Reclaim Area, Welcomers’ Hall at Malta International Airport, the main bus stop outside the Airport Terminal, as well as other key locations across Malta and Gozo
- Step 2: Tap the screen to begin
- Step 3: Choose your preferred language: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German or Polish
- Step 4: Tap ‘Collect your Prepaid Card’ to proceed
- Step 5: Scan the QR code received by email after completing your purchase, or manually enter the order code provided in the same email. If you are logged in to the tallinja app, you can also find your code under ‘My Tickets’ → ‘Orders’.
- Step 6: Tap ‘Submit Order Code’. Your card will be dispensed from the collection tray. Remember to also collect your receipt.
