During the night of 28th July 2016, Malta Public Transport will be operating five special service routes to facilitate travel after the concert by the Maltese Tenor, Joseph Calleja.
This eagerly-anticipated summer concert will be held at The Granaries in Floriana at 8.30pm. This year, Calleja will be accompanied by Italian legend Antonello Venditti and the American singer and songwriter Suzanne Vega. Maltese talent will also play an important role at this concert with the participation of the Joseph Calleja BOV Children’s Choir and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Mro Steve Mercurio.
“We recognise the importance of this event in the local social calendar and we are providing these special services in an attempt to encourage people to travel by bus in order reduce traffic congestion,” explained Daniel Grech Commercial Director of Malta Public Transport.
Malta Public Transport will be operating the following routes:
N13 from Bay A1: Valletta, Msida, Gżira, Sliema Ferries, St. Julian’s.
S1 from Bay A2: Valletta, Marsa, Paola, Bormla, Kalkara, Xgħajra, Ħaż-Żabbar, Marsaskala, Fgura, Paola, Valletta.
S2 from Bay A3: Valletta, Msida, Qroqq, Kappara, San Ġwann, Naxxar, Mosta, Imtarfa By-Pass, Ir-Rabat, Ħ’Attard, Żebbug By-Pass, Qormi, Fleur-De-Lys, Ħamrun, Valletta.
S3 from Bay A4: Valletta, Msida, Birkirkara, Lija, Mosta, Burmarrad, Buġibba, Qawra, St. Paul’s Bay, Xemxija, Mellieħa, Għadira Bay, Ċirkewwa.
S4 from Bay A5: Valletta, Marsa, Tarxien, Żejtun, Marsaxlokk, Birżebbuġa, Airport, Żurrieq, Qrendi, Mqabba, Ħal Farruġ, Valletta.
These routes will operate from the Valletta Terminus between 23:30 and 00:40. The fares will be as follows: €3.00 on-board ticket, €2.50 will be deducted from the tallinja card; while there will be no extra charge when using the Explore Card.
