Statement by Malta Public Transport

Reference is made to the incident in which one of the buses operated by Malta Public Transport was destroyed by fire. While no one was injured in this incident, the bus driver was treated for shock shortly after the incident.

The company would like to thank the driver of the bus who immediately followed safety procedures and escorted the passengers to a safe distance, as well as the emergency officials who responded promptly and efficiently.

Malta Public Transport will continue to offer its full support and assistance to the competent authorities and will also be carrying out an independent investigation.
