Malta Public Transport will operate a special direct service for the Rockestra 2016 concert taking place on Saturday 10 September at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.
Every year this concert, which raises funds in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, brings together numerous talented Maltese singers who perform live, accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, under the musical direction of Mro. Sigmund Mifsud and the artistic direction of Pawlu Borg Bonaci.
Malta Public Transport will be operating a special route taking passengers from Valletta to Ta’ Qali with services leaving Valletta Bus Terminus at 17:15, 18:15 and 19:15.
At the end of the concert, the return journeys from Ta’ Qali to Valletta will run at 22:45, 23:30 and midnight.
“Our company is always happy to support events like Rockestra, which have one aim: that of giving a helping hand to those in need.” maintained Daniel Grech, Commercial Director of Malta Public Transport. He added that “during such crowd-pulling events we encourage more people to make use of the bus instead of having to worry about parking spaces.”
The fares will be as follows: €3.00 in cash on-board the bus; €2.50 when paying with a tallinja card; two journeys when paying with the 12 Single Day Journeys card; and there will be no extra charge when using the Explore Card.
