Malta Public Transport increases Tallinja Direct Routes

With effect from Sunday 29 July, Malta Public Transport will be operating additional Tallinja Direct Services that link popular localities in Malta. These are:

TD9 – Direct Service from Valletta to Buġibba via Kappara to St. Julian’s and the Coast Road

- Operating from Valletta every hour between 09:05 and 11:05 and every 30 minutes between 11:05 and 20:05

- Operating from Buġibba every hour between 09:05 and 11:10 and every 30 minutes between 11:10 and 20:10

TD13 – Direct Service from Valletta to St. Julian’s via Kappara

-  Operating from Valletta every hour between 08:05 and 11:05 and every 30 minutes between 11:05 and 20:05

-  Operating from St.Julian’s every hour between 07:00 and 11:00 and every 30 minutes between 11:00 and 20:00

The fares for the Tallinja Direct routes are as follows: €3.00 when paying Cash on board the bus, €2.50 (or two trips) when paying with a 12-Journey Card, €1.50 when paying with a personalised Tallinja Card and there is no cost when paying with any of the Explore Cards, which provide all-inclusive travel. Personalised Tallinja Card holders are reminded that Tallinja Direct journeys do not contribute towards the automatic weekly or monthly capping.
