Tallinja Ferry Service

Valletta Ferry Service

Holders of a valid personalised Tallinja Card can use their card to travel for free on board the Valletta Ferry Services. Valletta Ferry Services operates between Valletta and The Three Cities (Cospicua), and between Valletta and Sliema Ferries.

More than 400,000 holders of a personalised Tallinja Card can now board the ferry for free and enjoy a number of benefits that had previously facilitated customer experience on the bus. These include faster boarding time and the convenience of not having to carry any loose change for tickets.

Route 133, the Valletta circular route, connects both ferry quays further improving the connectivity between the ferry quays and the centre of the Capital.

The ferry service operates along the below-listed routes:

  • Sliema – Valletta – Sliema
  • Cospicua – Valletta – Cospicua

The service operates during the day as well as at night (see ferry schedule for details).

When travelling to Valletta from Cospicua on the ferry, a ticket will be issued for the Upper Barrakka lift which can be used to get to Valletta. The Lift will be free of charge when travelling from Cospicua and offers a more convenient and practical alternative to reach Valletta centre.
